It’s hard to believe that we are already talking about the 2014-2015 school year, but next year is quickly approaching.  We are on the hunt for new families to become part of our South City Prep community.  If you know of any families that would be a good fit for our school, please encourage them to check out South City Prep.

Our Students:

We expect openings in 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade next year.  It doesn’t matter when a student starts attending our school; we see almost two years worth of growth in Math, Reading, Writing and Science with nearly every one of our scholars.

Year Round School:

We are the only school in St. Louis that has a true year round calendar.  Our calendar is organized into five instructional cycles that include 7-8 weeks of school followed by two-week breaks.  Our school year starts in mid-August and ends in mid-July.

Extended School Day and School Year:

Our scholars attend school for more than 8 hours per day, 192 days per year.  By the time they graduate, this extended time equals two extra years of school.

College Bound Culture:

Every aspect of our school emphasizes attending and succeeding in college.  From visual reminders in the hallway to frequent college visits, our scholars realize that college is an expected goal and that success in college is attainable.

Rigorous Academics:

Our curriculum is focused on getting our scholars ready for success in college.  Aligned to the Common Core Standards, our curriculum is designed to prepare our scholars to exceed the expectations of the ACT, SAT, and other college entrance exams.

“No Excuses” Philosophy:

We believe all of our scholars are capable of achieving our vision and we do not allow anyone to make excuses for why our scholars cannot reach these high standards.

Interested families can fill our our online interest form, contact the school office at (314) 561-3440, or stop by the school to fill out an application.
