Program Overview

The MCPSA Preferred Business Partners Network leverages the purchasing power of Missouri Charter Public Schools and expands access to high quality, cost-saving products and services.

Tier 1 – Market Place Vendor
MCPSA’s Vendor Market place is the most basic level of the vendor program. Businesses will receive a listing on MCPSA’s website and a listing in our annual vendor directory. MCPSA staff does not screen Market Place vendors and therefore being a member of the Market Place is not an endorsement by MCPSA of any vendor. Instead, the market place serves as a tool for school leaders and business managers in identifying potential vendors for various products and services.

Tier 2 – Preferred Vendor
MCPSA’s Preferred Vendors program showcases companies that have an established track record in Missouri schools. Participants in this level of the vendor program must undergo MCPSA’s 5-point evaluation process which includes: • An interview with MCPSA’s Manager of Consortiums and Business Partners • A web-based research of customer feedback and BBB Status • A reference check, specifically focused on K-12 educational market experience • A review of financial & risk management practices • An assessment of experience, offerings, and value-adds.

Tier 3 - Cooperative Purchasing & Shared Services
Cooperative Purchasing & Shared Service Vendors have undergone MCPSA’s most advanced vendor evaluation. These companies are partners with the Missouri Charter Public School Association and have agreed to provide schools with economy of scale pricing. Along with the 5-point evaluation process, these companies have undergone an additional vetting process to ensure that they offer the greatest level of cost savings for Missouri charter schools.

Event Sponsorship
Throughout the year, MCPSA hosts multiple programs and events including conferences, workshops, advocacy events, and Network meetings. Companies that choose to sponsor an event may receive specialized recognition through airtime during general session,  presentation time during conference breakout sessions, handing out promotional materials, and/or having their logo printed on event materials. Log onto MCPSA’s website to view sponsorship opportunities for the 2013 – 2014 academic year.

Who we are:
The Missouri Charter Public School Association is the membership and professional organization that supports charter public schools, administrators, teachers, parents, and students in the State of Missouri. In 2012, 93% of Missouri Charter Public Schools were members of our association and 100% of school sponsors were associate members. Charter schools served 18,000 students in the cities of St. Louis and Kansas City. As the charter school movement continues to gain momentum in Missouri, it is predicted that in the upcoming years charter schools will span statewide.
