COVID-19: The First 60 days

The coronavirus pandemic has reinforced the critical role that schools play in our communities as not only places of learning, but as places able to quickly respond to in a crisis. MCPSA recently released this report highlighting the work of the Association in serving members and the community.

Education First Responders

Missouri's charter schools quickly responded to continuing education during the pandemic. We talked with education first responders, teachers and parents from both St. Louis and Kansas City. Our Executive Director, Douglas Thaman, also got to hear from students from the Kauffman School in Kansas City about how they have adjusted to their lives at home to meet today's challenges.

Missouri Charter Schools COVID-19 Response

As we navigate the effects COVID-19 is having on our community and schools, Missouri's charter schools are committed to managing these uncharted waters with the best interest of students at the forefront of every decision. At MCPSA we remain committed to providing quality resources and support to our members. During this time, the MCPSA team is taking extra precautions around cleanliness and contact as well as limiting travel. This is a time like no other but we are confident, together, we will all come through this united and stronger.
